Embark on a Unique Adventure in the Beagle Channel with the Ksar Sailboat

Immerse yourself in a 10-day voyage, exploring the coastal waters and disembarking in the most pristine places in the region. Our programs are designed for small groups, with a maximum of 5 people, guaranteeing a personalized and enriching experience.

The exciting nautical odyssey departs from Ushuaia to any destination in the Beagle Channel. The voyage adjusts dynamically, with decisions made jointly between the crew and the captain. This flexibility allows us to optimize the route according to the current weather conditions, sunlight, and interpret the winds, ensuring a unique and safe experience.

We seek shelter to rest, eat and sleep anchored in strategic natural places in Tierra del Fuego. We review sailing fundamentals and all participants practice with the helm to perfect navigation skills. We also offer training in maneuvers, sail trimming and meteorology.

Learn to embrace the sailing lifestyle on long voyages, opening up a new world of water adventures. Practice maneuvers in port and at anchor to perfect docking and safe anchoring skills.

Develop nautical cruising skills in the Beagle Channel to gain confidence in long-distance sailing. Meet the Ksar Sailboat prepared for the Antarctic climate. You will learn to be autonomous on board a sailboat, getting to know the Ksar Sailboat and its equipment in depth, developing solid navigation skills in challenging conditions.

Organization of Trips and Clinics in the Beagle Channel

Before setting sail, a prior meeting is held to familiarize yourself with the boat, the safety elements and the mapping of the ports and safe natural coves to call at. The defeat is analyzed according to weather forecasts.

The trips and clinics are carried out in the Beagle Channel aboard a Joshua Model sailboat, designed in 1976 with a steel hull, equipped for navigation in these southern latitudes. Complies with the safety standards required by the Argentine Naval Prefecture.

Objectives: Strengthen knowledge about nautical charts, dead reckoning, use of GPS and radar, application of meteorological concepts, and the international maritime buoyage system.
